Dr. Weidman received his Honours B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Toronto in 1985. He then continued with his education attending Columbia University S.D.O.S. in New York City where he earned both his dental degree (D.D.S) and his Specialty in Periodontics, (Periodontal Certificate/Masters Degree [Molecular Biology]).
Dr. Weidman has been in private practice since 1990, practicing general dentistry in his early years and then limiting his practice to periodontics and implant dentistry after his graduation. He has been at his present location, 944 Merritton Road in Pickering since 1996 providing treatment to both Durham residents and residents of the GTA. He has been the recipient of many awards and honours and has an extensive research background with an array of publications.
Since his return to his hometown Toronto in 1994, in addition to his private practice, Dr. Weidman has been a clinical instructor for the Department of Periodontics at the University of Toronto and has been a member of numerous dental organizations and has served on the executive of a number of these dental societies including past president of the Ontario Society of Periodontics (OSP) and the Toronto Alpha Omega Dental Society (AO). He maintains his dental licence in Ontario, New Jersey and Florida.
